Catalog
Add each cigar once — brand, vitola, wrapper, price — or scan the band and let Cedar fill it in. Every purchase becomes a lot with its own aging clock from the day it goes in.

Log conditions
Record humidity and temperature for each humidor. Cedar keeps the history and shows the trend, so you see drift before it costs you a box.

Read the ledger
Insights turns the records into answers: what has reached its aging window, what the collection is worth, and where stock is running low.
Cedar on the web
Prefer a keyboard and a big screen? The Cedar web app is a separate workspace with a free account of its own, and it adds a cigar journal for recording what you thought of a cigar — a web-only feature.
The iOS app syncs through your own iCloud and does not use a Cedar Account. The two are independent: use either on its own, or both. What changed in 2.0

Is Cedar free?
The iOS app is free for a catalog of up to 20 cigars, one humidor with unlimited condition logging, and five band scans. Cedar Pro — yearly or a one-time lifetime purchase — lifts the caps and adds Insights, out-of-range alerts and CSV and PDF export. There are no ads at any tier. See pricing.
Do I need an account?
Not on iOS. The iPhone and iPad app has no sign-in at all — your collection lives on your device and syncs through your own private iCloud. An account is only needed to use Cedar in a browser.
I used a Cedar Account to sync my iPhone. What happened?
Cedar 2.0 replaced the Cedar Account on iOS with iCloud sync, so the app no longer signs in to this site. Your collection is safe — it is on your device and now syncs privately through iCloud instead. Your web account and its data are untouched, and you can move records either way with JSON export. I bought Pro on my iPhone. Does it work on the web?
Not automatically any more. Because iOS 2.0 removed the Cedar Account, an App Store purchase can no longer be matched to a web account on its own. Email hello@scalingwebapps.com with your App Store receipt and we will apply it to your web account by hand.
Does Cedar sell cigars?
No — and it never will. Cedar is an inventory and record-keeping tool for collections you already own. There are no shops, no prices to compare, no referral links, and no advertising.
Can I get my data out?
Always. Settings gives you a lossless JSON export of everything, free on every tier, and it re-imports on the web or a new device. Cedar Pro adds CSV for spreadsheets and a PDF report.
Why the age gate?
Cedar catalogs tobacco products, so the entire site and app are for adults 21 and over, or the legal age where you live. We keep it strict on purpose.
