Counts that reflect the box, not a guess
Inventory is the part collectors get wrong most often, and it is almost always the same mistake: one number per cigar. You buy five Le Bijou in January and five more in June, the app adds them to a pile of ten, and the moment you smoke one the record stops being true — because it cannot tell you which five you dug into.
Cedar tracks stock per purchase lot. Each acquisition keeps its own quantity, its own price and its own date, so the count on screen matches the physical box, and the January five age separately from the June five.
Multiple humidors
Most collections outgrow one box. Cedar lets you keep a desktop, a cabinet, a travel case and a tupperdor as separate humidors, each with its own contents, its own target range and its own reading history. Move a lot between them and the counts follow.

Cost, MSRP and what it is worth
Record what you paid for each lot. Cedar totals it across the collection and shows it beside MSRP where you have entered one, which is the honest way to value a collection — what you spent, not what a retailer lists.
Because price is stored per lot, the total stays right even when the same cigar cost you three different amounts across three years.
Aging, per lot
Every lot carries an aging clock from the day it went into the humidor. Set the window you consider ready and Cedar flags what has reached it. That is the single most useful thing an inventory can tell you and the thing a spreadsheet never does.
Finding things
Search across brand, line and vitola, and filter by humidor or by the category chips on the collection screen — including what has been resting long enough and what is running low. On a large collection this is the difference between a record and an archive.
Getting the data out
A lossless JSON export is free on every tier and re-imports on another device, so the catalog is portable by default. Cedar Pro adds CSV for spreadsheets and a PDF report — useful for insurance, or simply for a record that outlives the app.

Twenty entries, one humidor with unlimited condition logging, five band scans, and JSON export. It is a real tier, not a trial — enough to run a modest collection indefinitely. Cedar Pro lifts the caps and adds Insights, out-of-range alerts and CSV and PDF export.
